The Rise of She is now proud to officially announce we are a CIC, empowering Women Through Life’s Transitions.
At The Rise of She, we are dedicated to fostering hormonal wellness and education for women navigating life’s changes and transitions. From menarche to menopause and beyond, we believe in empowering women to embrace their cyclical nature and reclaim their power in a world that often encourages us to dim our light.
Our mission is to create a supportive community where women can come together to learn, grow, and thrive. Through community projects, workshops, and events, we provide a safe space for women to connect, educate themselves, and tap into their innate strength.
Have you heard of red tent or moon circles? These ancient gatherings have been a source of support and empowerment for women across cultures for centuries. While they were lost in the shuffle of history, they are making a resurgence in communities worldwide, including here in the UK. Our red tent gatherings provide an opportunity for women of all ages and backgrounds to come together in a supportive environment, combating the isolation and loneliness that many women face.
Did you know that despite being the majority of the population, women’s hormonal health is often overlooked? In the UK, many GPs are not adequately trained in addressing period or menopause-related issues, leading to misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatments such as unnecessary prescriptions for antidepressants.
We aim to change this by providing resources, support, and advocacy for women seeking hormonal balance. For young women, the struggle to discuss period-related issues is all too common. Many feel uncomfortable speaking to parents, guardians, or friends about their experiences, leading to missed school days and challenges accessing menstrual products. In the workplace, menstruation can also pose significant challenges, with many women experiencing stress and anxiety managing their periods at work.
Menopause, too, presents its own set of challenges. The majority of menopausal women report that their symptoms impact their work, leading to decreased productivity, increased stress, and a loss of confidence. Shockingly, menopausal women in the UK are at a higher risk of suicide attempts, highlighting the urgent need for support and understanding during this life stage.
At The Rise of She, we are here to support women through every stage of life’s journey. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding women’s hormonal health and create a future where every woman feels empowered to embrace her true self.
