What is Moon cycling and how to do it

If you have passed through Menopause, or are using contraceptives, pregnant, or have never experienced a period, did you know that you can utilise the moon as a guide for your hormonal cycle?

Working with the moon over the years has proven to be a valuable tool for understanding my body and assisting my clients. By relating your feelings to the moon’s phases, it can bring you comfort. Eventually, you can use the phases of the moon to plan and schedule periods of restorative rest and times to shine when you are at your brightest.

Interested in trying it out? Here’s how:

Start on the next new moon and check in with your emotions. You can simply sum up a few words or even journal about it. It’s not necessary to do this daily, but taking time throughout the month to connect with the moon, La luna, is helpful.

Take the time to understand the different phases of the moon. I will provide a beginner’s guide, but keep in mind that there is so much wonder and mystique surrounding this celestial body! Notice how these phases begin to align with your own mind and body. Following the moon can become a great ally, providing comfort, resources, and love.

The Full Moon represents the moon at its fullest from Earth’s perspective. During this time, you will usually feel abundant with energy, enthusiasm, and motivation. It’s a period when you get things done, become more sociable, and feel more confident.

The Waning Moon symbolizes a gradual retreat back into yourself. Over the next few days, you may feel more tired and have a greater need for solitude. Your focus will increase, and you may become more competitive. This is when your inner critic might start to appear.

The New Moon or dark Moon is when the moon is present but not visible. Just like the moon, you also need time to retreat and delve into darkness. During this phase, you may feel tired, less patient, and have a strong desire to be alone. Rest becomes a priority, and socializing takes a backseat. This is a wonderful opportunity for self-reflection and healing, although the inner critic and self-doubt can be prominent.

The Waxing Moon, your energy levels will increase. It’s like your own inner springtime, bringing light, new beginnings, and excitement for the days and weeks ahead. You’ll literally feel a spring in your step.

And so, the cycle continues, and we begin again…

I would love to hear how you get on, so please get in touch. Here if you need any guidance or help.
